Every startup want to say they are tech-driven, it sounds so good on paper. When it comes to facts though it’s very hard for some people to give out power, to give freedom, responsibility and to simply let people experiment and grow individually.

Your article makes me see the work produced by a dev team as a flow. Product & executives should definitely direct it but also learn to go with it. Lead devs should guide it, and devs should be in charge of controlling it. In other words, the first ones should realistically help the last ones to create a tsunami and enjoy the ride.
